Around the world in the name of innovation

Global communication campaign and opening event

Innovative ideas come from unique minds. However, this potential often only unfolds when people connect with others. We wanted to capture the thirst for knowledge, pioneering spirit, and participatory innovative strength in this campaign for the opening of Merck's Innovation Center at its headquarters in Darmstadt. To do this, we set out on a “Journey of Innovation” together with radio presenter Daniel Boschmann and a camera team: a search for innovative ideas, crazy creations, and real characters who are making an impact around the world on behalf of Merck. The Merck community – 39,000 people worldwide – was able to not only follow the journey in the Virtual Innovation Center, but also help shape it. The circle of activities closed with the center's opening event, which we also organized.
