Exhibition “Merz Gallery of Aesthetics“
Purist reality characterised by minimalism, lightness and restraint – that was the keynote of the portraits which the Canadian photographer Geneviève Caron, in partnership with Jazzunique and on behalf of Merz, created for the World Congress of Dermatology in Vancouver. So as to give the powerfully expressive portraits sufficient space, all the other design elements had to be played down.
The field of tension between white space and modern design created a clean and classy atmosphere, symbolically suggestive of Merz’s futuristic products. With the help of contrasting elements, like open paper for instance, Jazzunique was able to create a hiatus which gave the design the necessary emotional impact.
